This Saturday NEO Recycling is going to be at 600 Irvine Ave in Newport Beach and will be collecting any and all electronics to recycle and keep out of the landfills. If you have an old cell phone, computer, printer or Beta Max player that you have no use for and that is just taking up space well now you have a place to put it to rest. 8am – 4pm this Saturday.
Friday February 25th (2 days from now) Atwater is throwing a party at the Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa. The Slime Kings, The Triggers, Argyle Street and Chase Long Beach will be performing. If you went to our last Slime Kings show you remember how much fun it was so don’t miss out on this one.
So this was one of the spots that we went to with Mikey the other day. I had been there before and its right next to our Sticker vendor Nameplate. This place can be sketchy since its under all those trees which tend to drop all sorts of stuff into the ditch that love to get under your wheels and make everything come to a halt and its right next to the freeway which at times can be weird especially if someone starts honking at you since your in plain view. But I guess that when that freeway is all backed up its kind of entertaining for all those people, it gives them something to enjoy while their all mad about sitting in traffic. Enjoy the shots of Mikey taken by Atwater photog Nick Meistrell, there are still more coming.
So last week we were trying to plan a little road trip somewhere to go skate but with the weather being a little off and on we decided to stay local. We hit up Mikey Moya and told him that we were coming his way and to line up a few spots that wouldn’t be a bust on a Wednesday which is harder to do than one might think but Mikey said he had a few we could try. Here are a few shots from spot one.
Scott Lippman just sent over a video he has been working on with some of his friends around town. Its got some shots of Will, Charlie and Kingston. And there’s a special guest turn by Spides
So yesterday morning I went with Atwater photographer Nick Meistrell up to the South Bay to shoot. We’ll about 5 minutes from arriving Matt Meistrell called and informed us that there was a fog bank that rolled in and you couldn’t see anything. Nick has grown up in the South Bay so we decided to go grab a bite to eat while we waited for fogtown to go bye bye. Nick had been raving about Eat at Joes and their famous breakfast “The John Wayne”. The way he had described this work of art I was already in before we got to the place. The waitress came by and whammy we ordered up 2 John Waynes and a half a John Wayne for Randy Meistrell who had joined us for the meal ( he was the smart one of the bunch). Our meals came out in like 5 minutes and then it was go time. This bad boy is ( I’ll list in layers from bottom up) hash browns, 2 fried eggs, sausage patties and then some sort of Mexican sauce poured on top oh and it came with tortillas to be used as a spoon. It was a meal and I couldn’t even finish it. Nick seemed to finish his in record time but didn’t look too good afterwards and Randy had no problem with his but as I said he was the smart one that just ordered the half. Great place for morning food.
