The Dirty Heads are making some really good moves these days, not like they haven’t been making the right moves before now. They were a last minute add to the recent Ragamuffin festival in Long Beach where they did a little autograph signing with Rome before the show.

So its finally going to take place this Saturday March 13. It has gotten postponed due to weather and is now ready to go this weekend. This is a great event every year and brings out a bunch of people. So if your in the Laguna Beach area around 8am you should check it out at West St. in South Laguna Beach.

Holy Batmobile in Costa Mesa!!!

As I drove into the office this morning listening to Ralphs Showbiz beat on KROQ I had a double take moment. To the right of me where normally I see gardeners religiously cleaning up the Catalina Fish Kitchen parking lot I saw the legendary Bat Mobile. I unfortunatley didn’t have my camera on me so I had to zip straight to the office grab my photo maker, tell everyone at the office including the Fed Ex guy that I just saw the Batmobile just down the street. I know its not that big a deal since I think there are about a dozen of them around the planet and I know I saw one on MTV’s Cribs at some point. I got back over there and a crowd started emerging, cars kept pulling up guys would get out walk around the car take a few photos and split. I saw Yoki from Generic Youth over there who had to stop by and take some pics just like everybody else. This bad boy was pretty legit, it had the parachute’s on the back end to slow it down after the car’s turbo boost stopped. It had the bat phone in there which now that I think about it was so far ahead of its time, it might have started the car phone craze back in the day. The one thing I thought was really funny was that Batman left his bat keys sitting on the front seat, maybe hes looking for a big bat payout from the bat insurance company.

Throwback to the 80’s

I just wanted to pay homage to some of the ads by Powell Peralta back in the day. Some might not know any of these guys or maybe have just heard about them in passing but the guys were superstars in the 80’s at least to the skaters of the world. Back before the internet was available on everyones phone and youtube had every video imaginable on it the only way we got to see what was going on was through the pages of Transworld and Thrasher. It was a simple time back then.

The New Atwater/Chris Mumma Poster!!!!

We keep telling our team to get out there and shoot with some quality photographers, well this is what happens when you listen. We just did another run of posters and did a couple thousand with Atwaters Chris Mumma. I was out back this afternoon setting up a little bank to curb next to the Atwater RV that we got parked behind the office and Chris rolled up with his girlfriend Ally. I thought what a perfect time to get Chris to sign some posters to hang up around town and specifically Wahoo’s. So below you can see how I made Chris feel like a celebrity and had him sign a few posters and snap a couple shots.

Next poster will be Isidro Vargas doing a Frontside Blunt down an 11 stair in Santa Ana, we discussed it yesterday.

Atwater at Myst in New Jersey

Last night in New Jersey Atwater was one of the Hosts to a fun filled evening at Myst. Jack Laird showed up with all his goodies in tow i.e. a section of our Surf Expo Booth designed by Sean Tully our new poster staring Sage Hulls and a few pieces to comfort the masses during a night of $1 absinthe shots to the last few people in the bar. These little shin digs will be going on here and there over the next few months so keep your eyes glued to this site to get all your Atwater news.
