I spoke with Sean Tully this morning and he was saying that he had just finished another web zine and asked if I could post it on the blog. This thing is really cool and I want to hear what you guys think about it so if you like it leave a comment.

Well last week we had our window at Surf Side Sports go up. Its got a nice cozy little spot right near the front door where our team rider and all around good K9 Rocky Edukas usually hangs out and pushes Atwater on everybody who walks in the door.

A few months back I took a trip up north to Santa Cruz to attend a trade show. I left Mi Casa at around 4:30am so I could make the most of the day and beat the LA traffic which at 4:30 in the morning isn’t a huge task. Made it over the Grape vine with ease and kept trucking down the 5 and onto the land of nothingness well except cows and these yellow signs that read “Congress Created Dust Bowl” and these bad boys were like every mile for about 120 miles. I later found out that it had to do with water to the farm lands in that area. I saw a bunch of cows along the way as well and for those of you that have taken this glorious drive up the five you know what I’m talking about. There are cattle farms that just come out of nowhere and before you know it the hillside is covered in pre-processed steaks.
So I made it into the Santa Cruz area around 11:30 checked into my hotel and headed over to the show. The one bummer about this little trip was the fact that I had the dates wrong and when I thought I was arriving on the first day actually turned out to be the last day.
The best part of the trip was when Wingnut took me over to the NHS offices and let me rome the office with my camera snapping pics of original Jim Phillips artwork that hung everywhere. I also found a little youtube video with a history Santa Cruz decks that is pretty cool to look at.

The Blurr just sent this over, a little preview of the new Surfing Magazines Summer Board Guide. He threw up the Mainframe inspired 5F hand painted by Mainframe himself. So if anybody out there is in need for a new board, or maybe just a fun summertime sled head into Infinity and get schooled by the folks over there.

I just wanted to pay homage to some of the ads by Powell Peralta back in the day. Some might not know any of these guys or maybe have just heard about them in passing but the guys were superstars in the 80’s at least to the skaters of the world. Back before the internet was available on everyones phone and youtube had every video imaginable on it the only way we got to see what was going on was through the pages of Transworld and Thrasher. It was a simple time back then.

Such a rad collage

Lance and his skating upside down dog

I first saw this in the back of my very first Transworld, I traded a Surfer mag for it

The Brat, Mothra, Grosso he has had a variety of nicknames over the years. He still kills it every day and wears the best darn clothes ever

I never got the Steadham board back in the day but was always a huge fan of those graphics and now own 2 of them

So Original, where does Tony end and his board begin

So I figured out that everybody has deep Subconscious thoughts and feelings that sometimes come out at different times throughout their life and sometimes they will unknowingly just pop their little head out randomly. I figured out a way to dig deep into a persons cranium and get the real truth. If you follow my instructions below you will be surprised to find out your true feelings.
Now I have built this program around figuring out our customers favorite action sports brand. So if you follow these next steps your true feelings will come out with out you even thinking about it.
1) Pick your favorite number between 1-9
2) Multiply by 3 then
3) Add 3
4) Then again Multiply by 3 (I’ll wait while you get the
calculator….)
5) You’ll get a 2 or 3 digit number….
6) Add the digits together
With that number, see who your favorite brand is from the list below:
1. Reef
2. Nixon
3. Vans
4. Volcom
5. Oakley
6. Hurley
7. Quiksilver
8. Billabong
9. Atwater
10. Matix
Can you believe it!!!
