Darshan Gooch resides in Santa Cruz, California and frequents the many nooks
that peel, peak, and spit in S.C. Though he might be considered a
“shortboarder”, I wouldn’t count him out to catch ten on the 9′6″ Bing or
displace water off the 7′ Hull. I’ve seen him ride it all with proper
technique and style. However, its Darsh’s ability to bust gnar filth
aerials, pull into frothy tubes, and lay into slash tear turns that make him
a standout in the water. Regardless of any of this, his ego and attitude
remain in check. I appreciate that from standout surfers.
Darsh makes a great addition to Atwater’s White Tigers. The “Good Life”
mentality is reflected in the way Darsh approaches his life. He’s a great
dude in and out of the water and it makes total sense for him to be apart of
the ATWATER movement.
